As a mom, I know firsthand how magical (and blurry) the arrival of a newborn is. Those first days deserve to be documented, because one day the photos will be all you have of their squishiness, their soft skin, and tiny fingers and toes.
Recently, I had the opportunity to step into the welcoming home of the Stewart Family for their at-home newborn session.
From the moment I arrived, I could feel the warmth that enveloped their home. Soft morning light streamed through their windows, creating the perfect setting.
Like most of my sessions, my favorite images were created with film. Film's subtle grain, warm tones, and nostalgic feeling adds a timeless quality to every image. Every frame was ethereal, filled with emotion, and spoke volumes about the love that filled their home.
The session was a blend of candid moments and carefully curated poses, each frame capturing the bond between Mom and Dad and their baby boy. The way they held their son, the tenderness of their connection — it was a symphony of love that resonated in every photograph.
As the session drew to a close, I couldn't help but feel grateful for being able to witness and capture these precious moments. The Stewart family's at-home newborn session was a testament to the beauty of new beginnings, the joy of parenthood, and the magic that comes with welcoming a new life into the world.
