LRP Featured in Heartful Magazine
I'm so proud to announce that I recently had two images chosen for the fall 2026 issue of Heartful Magazine! Heartful is an iconic online and print publication elevating the family photography industry by featuring emotional, inclusive, beyond-just-pretty imagery.
Heartful receives over 10,000 images for consideration, so to have two of my own chosen is a dream come true!
The first image was made during an On Film, With Love session. It was a true candid moment when big sister popped so joyfully into the frame while I was photographing her mom and little brother. I love the unexpectedness and liveliness of this moment. For me, it's a reminder to our kids that it's not only okay to be fully themselves, but that it's really beautiful, too.
The second image was made during an at-home newborn session. I knew I wanted to photograph in this little corner of their dining space, because it received the most gorgeous mid-morning light. The connection felt here between mother and baby is something I aim to preserve in every newborn session.
Both images were made on 35mm film.
I’m overflowing with gratitude for Heartful creator and editor Brooke Schultz for carving out a space to showcase family photographers like myself and for championing images with heart, soul, movement, and emotion.
I’m also so grateful to the families for whom these photographs were created — I love you both!! Your trust in me and my creative vision means the world.
The past 12 months have felt like a “falling in place” of sorts for LRP. Between creating the type of family imagery I’m passionate about and launching the That One Photo podcast, I’ve feel like I’ve fully leaned into the heart behind why I do this work — and that is such a beautiful thing.
